A buying tool, before a buying decision
Compare clothing manufacturing quotes on equal terms.
The garment price is one part of the order cost. Compare supplier quotes using the same specification, quantity and currency, then include setup, freight and import costs. A blank cost remains unknown, so an incomplete quote cannot quietly look like the cheapest one.
Start your comparison ↓What does each quote actually include?
Enter the same garment specification and quantity for every supplier. Convert all figures into one currency first. Leave unconfirmed costs blank; enter 0 only when a cost is explicitly included or does not apply. Figures stay in this page and are cleared on reload.
This adds the costs you enter; it does not calculate tax rates or recommend a supplier. Check import costs with your broker. Count sampling or setup fees only once, and deduct any agreed credit before entering them. Need a landed-cost planning model?
Your RFQ checklist
Send every supplier the same brief.
A lower quote is useful only when it describes the garment you intend to sell. Resolve these seven points before approving a sample or deposit.

Garment & fabric
Same fibre composition, fabric construction, GSM, finish, fit, size ratio and measurement tolerances. A lighter garment is a different offer, even at the same quantity.
- 02
Branding & packing
Specify artwork size, colours, print positions, embroidery stitches, neck and care labels, hang tags, individual packaging and carton requirements.
- 03
Minimums & colour split
Ask whether the minimum is per style, per colour or per fabric. At Sleek, knitwear starts at 50 pieces per style; woven at 300, flat-knit sweaters at 500. Confirm colour splits and dye-lot requirements in writing.
- 04
Sampling & approval
List development, sample garments, courier charges, included revisions and any credit against bulk separately. Set the physical sample and approved measurements as the production reference.
- 05
Freight & import costs
Record the named delivery place, shipping basis and what the quote excludes. A factory-gate or FOB garment price cannot be compared directly with a freight-included price.
- 06
Production & arrival
Separate sample approval, production, dispatch, international transit and customs clearance. Check when the clock starts and who confirms a launch-critical date.
- 07
Quality & accountability
Confirm the producing facility, inspection plan, acceptance tolerances, defect process and payment milestones. Ask for the current audit report and its scope, rather than relying on a logo.
Sampling terms
Sample development is USD 60 per style for a blank, or USD 85 with your branding applied, plus USD 45 shipping. The sample cost is credited against your bulk order when you proceed.

Door-to-door delivery, freight included in unit price. Import VAT and duties are paid by the buyer.

How do I compare two clothing manufacturing quotes fairly?
Use the same garment specification, quantity and currency. Add setup and samples, freight, duty, tax and clearance to the garment total. Divide that total by the order quantity. Keep unconfirmed costs visible, and review sample quality, production scope and payment terms alongside cost.
Why is an FOB quote lower than a door-to-door quote?
They cover different responsibilities. FOB generally leaves international freight and destination costs outside the garment price; a door-to-door quote includes delivery to the named address but may still exclude duty and tax. Read the written inclusions, exclusions and named delivery place before comparing.
Does the cheapest unit price mean the best supplier?
No. Fabric weight, construction, decoration, sample fees, freight, inspection and defect handling can change both the total cost and the commercial risk. Use a physical sample and written production specification to assess whether the offers are genuinely comparable.
Does this tool estimate import taxes or convert currencies?
No. It adds the costs you enter, in one currency you select. Convert supplier quotes to that currency yourself and get duty, tax and clearance estimates from your customs broker. An empty field remains unconfirmed; enter zero only when the cost is explicitly included or does not apply.
