Manufacturing for Thailand

School Uniform Supplier for International & Swedish Schools in Thailand

Schools and procurement distributors in Thailand can order breathable, crested uniforms, PE kit, and custom school merchandise from 50–300 pieces by programme. We lock colours, sizing, and embroidery, inspect children’s garments, and schedule 12–15-day production backward from the first day of term.

  • MOQ: from 50 pcs (knits)
  • Production: 12–15 days
  • Air transit: ~6–10 days
  • Door-to-door, freight included

Itemised quote usually within 24 business hours • Sample fees credited back in full on bulk orders • No commitment required

Thailand’s international schools, Swedish schools, and wholesale school uniform distributors need a supplier that can hold a specification across academic years, not a generic garment decorator. We support procurement teams in Bangkok, Phuket, Hua Hin, Cha-am, and Chiang Mai with breathable fabrics, locked colours, and repeatable size runs.

The programme can combine crested day uniforms, PE kit, bulk corporate wear for staff, and custom school merchandise. Flexible MOQs from 50–300 pieces let a school test a range, replenish mid-year, or consolidate a larger annual order without sacrificing inspection or embroidery control.

Thailand: currently making January semester 2027

Schools plan against the academic year, not the weather — uniform has to be on the child on the first morning of term, which is the date every lead time below counts back from.

The season on the line right now is January semester 2027, which means crested day uniform, PE kit and house colours ahead of the term. Stock has to be landed for the start of second semester on , and production plus transit is what sets the order-by dates below.

Next up: August intake 2027

The first day of the academic year falls on , which shifts the mix to crested day uniform, PE kit and house colours ahead of the term. Sea freight for it needs the order confirmed by 29 Jun 2027. Development and sampling sit in front of production, so most buyers open that conversation a month before the date.

Order-by dates assume the slow end of every published range: 35 days from order to shipment, plus the longest transit we quote on that lane. Washed and garment-dyed programmes add 3–5 days, and custom knit adds 7–10 days — order ahead of the date if yours includes either.

Duties & import costs

Thailand applies import duty on apparel plus 7% VAT. Preferential rates exist between Bangladesh and Thailand under the Asia-Pacific Trade Agreement (APTA), but they are claimed against an APTA certificate of origin we are not registered to issue — so budget for the standard rate. Our unit price includes freight to the school door; duty and VAT are settled at import by the school or its agent, and we show the expected figures so the budget holds. We do not offer DDP.

What does a Thailand sourcing programme cost?

Quotes in USD by default, or fixed in THB on request. Approximate examples at moderate volume: crested polos from ~THB 190–380/pc, PE tees ~THB 120–240/pc, hoodies ~THB 360–680/pc (FOB) — final pricing depends on fabric, embroidery, and size run.

Currency examples are approximate conversions at recent exchange rates — quotes fix the exact figure.

What is included in Thailand programmes?

  • Wholesale school uniform distributor support: flexible 50–300-piece MOQs, consolidated size runs, and annual programme pricing
  • Breathable, colourfast fabrics for tropical classrooms, with crest embroidery locked to thread standards and house colours
  • Bulk corporate wear for teaching and operations staff, plus custom school merchandise for spirit wear and sports days
  • Needle-detection screening on children's garments, optional woven name labels, and defect checks before dispatch
  • Production scheduled backward from term start, with buffer stock for mid-year joiners and Scandinavian/Nordic school calendars

What do Thailand procurement teams ask?

Do you supply Swedish and international schools based in Thailand?

Yes — international and community schools are a core client type for us. Whether it is a Svenska Skolan program, a Scandinavian community school, or a larger international school, we run it as an annual uniform program: locked specs and crest, full size runs, and delivery timed to your term calendar.

How does a school uniform program actually work?

We lock your design once — fabric, colours, crest placement, and PE kit — then produce to a size run graded across your age ranges, with needle-detection screening for children's garments. Production is scheduled backward from term start, and we hold buffer stock so pupils joining mid-year are never left waiting.

What about import duty and delivery into Thailand?

Thailand charges apparel duty plus 7% VAT; preferential APTA rates exist for Bangladeshi-origin goods but are claimed against an APTA certificate we are not registered to issue, so budget the standard rate. Duty and VAT are settled at import by the school or its agent; our price includes freight to the school door but not clearance, so we are not a DDP supplier. We quote the expected duty and VAT alongside the unit price rather than burying them inside it, so the budget holds. The Chattogram–Bangkok sea lane is short, around 7–12 days.

When should we place the order for an August term start?

Confirm the specification by early April and place the bulk order by the end of April. Working backward: 7–10 days to a first sample, a round of comments and a revised sample, then 12–15 days of production once the sample is approved, then 7–12 days on the water to Laem Chabang plus clearance and inland delivery. That is roughly ten weeks of real time, and the first year always takes longer than the ones after it because the crest, the colours and the size run are all being settled for the first time. Schools that come to us in June for an August start can usually still be served, but by air freight and at a cost nobody enjoys.

How do you get sizing right for a mixed international cohort?

By grading to measurements rather than to a label. An international school in Bangkok has Scandinavian, Thai, British and Japanese children in the same year group, and a single national size chart will fit none of them well — a "size 10" is a different garment in three of those systems. We grade the block across your actual age range and issue a size chart in centimetres with a fitting set of samples the school can try on real pupils before bulk. The chart then stays locked across reorders, which is what stops a Year 7 shirt fitting differently from the one bought two years earlier.

Which fabrics work in a Thai classroom?

Breathability and colourfastness matter more here than weight. We favour a cotton-rich pique for polos — cotton-dominant for comfort and moisture handling, with enough polyester to hold shape and resist creasing through a humid day — and lighter jersey for PE kit. The specific tropical failure mode to design against is not wear, it is fade: strong sun and frequent washing pull colour out of house colours and crest thread faster than most suppliers plan for. We specify reactive-dyed fabric and colourfast embroidery thread and check shade against your locked reference on every reorder, so the Year 9 shirts still match the Year 7 ones.
